Prime Quantum Studios ("we", "us", "our") operates the UniMind mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Account Data:

• Email address, display name, university selection, subject selection, year of study.

Usage Data:

• Study progress, quiz scores, flashcard performance, streak data, feature usage, session duration.

Uploaded Content:

• Study notes uploaded via the Notes Upload feature (Pro subscribers only). Stored for a maximum of 30 days.

Device Data:

• Device type, operating system, app version, IP address (anonymised after 30 days).

Payment Data:

• We do not collect or store payment information. All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store).

3. Legal Basis for Processing

• Contract: To provide the Service you have subscribed to.
• Legitimate Interest: To improve the Service, prevent fraud, and ensure security.
• Consent: For optional analytics and marketing communications (you can opt out at any time).

4. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and personalise the educational service.
• To track your study progress and generate revision plans.
• To generate flashcards and quizzes from your uploaded notes.
• To display advertisements to free-tier users (via Google AdMob).
• To improve the Service through anonymised analytics.
• To communicate important updates about the Service.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase (database hosting) — EU/UK servers.
• RevenueCat (subscription management).
• Google AdMob (advertising for free-tier users).
• Anthropic (AI processing for Notes Upload — note content only, no personal data).

All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements.

6. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
• Usage data: Anonymised after 12 months.
• Uploaded notes: Automatically deleted after 30 days. Maximum 5 notes stored at any time.
• Analytics data: Anonymised and aggregated, retained indefinitely.

7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

• Right of Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
• Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate data.
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to Restriction: Restrict processing of your data.

The Service is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

10. International Transfers

Your data is primarily stored on servers in the United Kingdom and European Union. Where data is transferred outside the UK/EU, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR.

11. Cookies and Tracking

The UniMind mobile app does not use cookies. Third-party services (such as Google AdMob) may use device identifiers for advertising purposes. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.
